The Pepsi Tour is now entering its 17th year of hosting golf tournaments on the West Coast. The Tour’s Indexed Division is for amateur and professional/non-amateur golfers of all skill levels who play in net competitions that are grouped by ability. A unique tournament index bracketing system using only Pepsi Tour tournament rounds eliminates “sandbagging”, and tournament officials insure a fair, competitive golfing arena. In 2010 the Tour's Indexed Division is scheduled to hold more than 130 tournaments in California, Arizona and Nevada. The guaranteed first place prize money in each index group with a minimum of eight players is $300 to $600 at one-day events and $700 to $1,200 at two-day events. Top prizes have reached as high as $3,000 at three-day events. The actual purse at each tournament depends on sponsors and the number of players, but one-third of the field wins prize money at each event. Amateur winners are paid non-cash prizes in accordance with USGA Rules of Amateur Status. You can play in your first tournament as a guest. Thereafter, you must join the Tour. Annual membership (12 months) in the Indexed Division is $200 plus a one-time $75 initiation fee. Annual membership (12 months) for amateurs is $100. The Pepsi Tour also holds 18-hole mid-week tournaments at fixed locations in Northern and Southern California. It conducts these low-cost events under the name “Pepsi Twilight Tour”. There are no membership requirements on the Pepsi Twilight Tour.
